Clastle was the result of a little over a year's worth of brainstorming and planning. During my second quarter at college my class was split into groups of three people and tasked with building a game with a consistant theme of "Love and Death". Clastle (originally called "Till Death do us Part") was the story of an assassin who venture into the underworld in order to find his i'll-fated wife's soul. Along the way he gets caught up in a battle between two "Kings of the Underworld" who both factor into his journey to save wife.
The originally game was a 2D platformer, but as an independent study I was able recreate it using Unreal Engine 3 and the help of a few friends.
Fast forward to the end of the quarter. We all made the grade with flying colors and unanimously decided to continue work on Clastle in order to prep it for online distribution. Our company, Rocket Launcher Interactive was born.
